You are right! The whole world knows the positive clinical impact of #MCoC and the benefits resulting from the relational intervention of Continuity - we have it within our grasp to deliver as staffing continues to improve and we develop more tools to plan for it

"What if everyone knew that rednecks were patriots who dared to demand fair treatment?" I've been fascinated with the term, redneck, since I moved to WV in 1999. Never before have I heard this characterization.

A great thread unroll for more details about the legacy of enslavement (revisionist history) conceived in FL. I heard an interviewee mention that an inheritance of wealth OR debt indeed usually carries on for generations.

I am up writing my contribution to a chapter I am leading. I am re-reading & citing Dr Camara Jones’ 2000 AJPH paper on levels of racism. I recall another MD writing that racism alone is not killing BW in pregnancy and childbirth, but inaction. Hmm… Read and Cite Black Women!!

"The irony of Gee’s decision to cut WVU’s graduate program in mathematics, in light of his own statistical ineptitude, is palpable."

So weird - teachers in WV are being asked to remove messages of safety with respect to LGBTQ+ students, calling it "political" speech. It was extremely heartening to hear from so many impacted students. But it's a bummer we are having this exercise.

Ok, this is one riveting topic, and resonates deeply to me. As part of a group of midwife "vision"ers, this is intriguing on many levels!

I'm ready to make a prediction. Yesterday was The Day Everything Changed. I feel it deep in my witchy childless-cat-lady midwife bones. I love that it happened at NABJ. I love that Black leadership is what will change the world.
