The first person in scripture to name God is Hagar. A woman. Single mother. African slave. She says “I have seen the one who sees me.” God calls her by name. Abram and Sarai do not. God has a way of exalting the vulnerable.

First day of stay at home order here in Mecklenburg County. My prayer focus for today is for the unemployed across our country.

Day 3 stay at home order. By day 3 God had created day, night, sky, vegetation. Third day Jesus was raised from the dead. On our day 3 God is with us. Prayer focus: for those where staying home is not safe but a living nightmare. Those who live in abusive situations.

When people are desperate to stop you and they can’t bully or intimidate you the last desperate move they will make is to lie about you and your character.

Those who are born of the Spirit of God are bearers of His Presence. We are a conduit of power, a minister or resurrection life.

Jesus, rise up within me and live the joy of Your life through me.

Be the visible presence of the invisible God!

May the culture be transformed by God and His word and not the word watered down to fit the culture.
