Excuse me Ryanair but why would you move someone to a later flight when their original flight is still operating? Additionally, why, when the person gets in touch, would you dismiss their questions and direct them to a COVID information page when they say they wish to complain?

I've just seen that Maggie O'Farrell is appealing to GCSE English teachers everywhere again, using the same inspiration as Browning for 'My Last Duchess' for her novel 'The Marriage Portrait'. Has anyone read it? Is it worth a read?

Pretty excited for my Sunday food today. Just done American pancakes, french toast, streaky bacon, fruit, maple syrup for breakfast. Later I'm doing a roast chicken, using my home made chicken stock for the gravy. Then, I'll use the chicken carcass to make a new stock!

A lovely weekend that was kicked off by watching this lot. Without a doubt Brian Fallon just establishes further why he's my favourite musician!

For the first time in a long time, I get the feeling that the Education Secretary, Bridget Phillipson, seems to have an understanding of teachers, education, etc. It's this understanding that has been sorely missed.

So, the uniform debate. Here is an elite level athlete, who's being paid $120 million, being told by his head coach to change his shorts so that he was doing the organisation's dress code. Thoughts?

Thoroughly enjoyed this article debating who is the better writer. A very interesting point, one that I'm going to build a lesson around, is the impact of character creation. Is Dickens' very physical descriptions of his characters more powerful than 1/2 theguardian.com/books/2025/mar…
