So much more to learn from the #DECAAFII trial. How can we create durable scar on diseased atrial tissue, especially on severely fibrotic atrium. Waiting for #DECAAFII sub-analysis Mario Mekhael Nassir Marrouche Nazem Akoum Abdel Hadi TulaneTRIAD

My view as a program director and (former) economist: its supply/demand. 71 matched applicants is probably appropriate for the number of VAD/TXP jobs available. Fellows don't want to do an extra year to practice non "advanced" HF. They are shifting to imaging and crit care.

Need HF Cardiologists -not just Advanced HF. Probably need tracks1) General HF cardiology ( HF systems, cardiomyopathies, preventive HF) 2) Invasive Critical care HF ( shock, icu care etc) 3) Advanced HF cardiology( End stage, VAD and transplant). Mark Drazner

Juan Lopez-Mattei, MD Amit R. Patel Hena Patel MD Shuo Roderick Tung Great work Amit. The use of cmri in my opinion is still under utilized even amongst cardiologists. We must continue to educate, advocate, and lead for optimal patients outcomes.

Unpopular opinion: I think bedside patient care is losing its appeal. More docs turning to “lucrative” alternatives. Burnout is impacting everyone.

Many clinicians fall for the allure of making a Dx purely based on imaging findings. A very important message that needs dissemination.

Check out our latest subanalysis of the #DECAAFII trial. Single lead smartphone ECG monitoring during the blanking period has a lot to tell us: estimated AF burden in the first 90 days is a good predictor of ablation outcomes. doi.org/10.1016/j.jace…
