Tonight Parliament failed disabled people. 🥀 Labour voted down my amendment to scrap unfair bus pass restrictions. 🌳 The Conservatives whipped their MPs to abstain. 🚌 This isn’t good enough. I won’t stop until disabled people get the fair, accessible transport they deserve.

Oct 2023 the council chose to ignore police advice. A year later the police forced to write to council instructing them to do the necessary for public safety. 2 years of inaction later they have stepped in. Putting political advantage over public safety is just not acceptable

This is absolutely brutal. The Labour government, which didn’t include this in their manifesto, clearly has no mandate for digital ID.

Horrified and appalled by the attack outside Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue on Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish calendar. My thoughts are with the victims, our brave emergency services and the entire Jewish community.

Delighted to help officially open the new temporary post office at Oaken Grove Community Centre this morning. Huge thank you to to the Post Office Oaken Grove Community Centre and Haxby Town Council for helping bring this together.

The Government's decision to abolish Healthwatch is hugely concerning and risks patients' voices being lost. I and many Liberal Democrats colleagues have written to the Government to urge it to reverse the decision, and guarantee funding for independent patient advocacy services.
