I wrote this about Faldo/Norman a year later:
“Faldo’s round that day was pure Faldo _ and pure golf. Except for a bunker hit on No. 5 and a weak wedge into No. 8, every ball went where he wanted it to go. Only once was he above the hole, on No. 9 _ away from the false front.”

That 67 by Sir Nick Faldo doesn’t get the credit it deserves because of what Norman did. But it was brilliantly conceived and brilliantly executed. Not many final rounds in a major that were better.

The R&A made the hard decision to cancel this years Open. I have nothing but respect for them for this. I will save my sadness for the real tragedy, the impact Covid-19 has had on the family's of the lives this virus has taken.
