A long time friend asked what I speak about. I was surprised he didn't know. So, maybe I should share here too. I use mental resiliency/performance psychology to help people mentally ā€œframe upā€ their challenges in ways that keep them focused, fully engaged, and mentally healthy.

The World Economic Forum just released their 2025 Future of Jobs report. Employers rank resilience is the second most important job skill for 2025. Ranked even higher than leadership. How are you preparing your people to be resilient?

Let's bring some confidence and a greater sense of control into your week. Here's your Monday Mantra - "I don't lose. I win or I learn." This mantra is based on resiliency research called psychological hardiness. Specifically, it is within the Control mindset. #Resilience

Let's be real - today's world is more uncertain, disrupted, and negative than most of us have ever experienced. Yet... We get to decide what happens next. For today, I say let's top fighting the chaos and start asking: "What door just opened?" Optimism a strategy. #Resilience

Setbacks are inevitable, but they don’t have to define us. When you have a set back, you have two choices. Psychological hardiness research shows that resilience comes from facing challenges head-on—turning wounds into wisdom. Choose to see your situation as a challenge.

Are you or someone you know involved in planning a customer or user conference? DM me. I'd love to share what I've seen create exceptional results. These events can be great... if they don't feel like a continuous sales pitch.

Ever get a compliment that makes you tilt your head? ā€œGreat speech. You were funny, especially for a Ph.D.ā€ ā€œAnd you were a great audience, especially for financial advisors.ā€ We both cracked up. Tag a friend who uses gentle ribbing is say, ā€œYou’re one of us.ā€

I was moderating a panel this week when their head of IT said, ā€œLife is too short to work at a job you don’t love.ā€ I agree, and I’d add: life is also too long to spend without passion for your daily life. Our lives are too full of potential joy to go through half-hearted.
