RIP, Al Jaffee--creator of the MAD Magazine Fold-In, Snappy Answers to Stupid Questions, and countless bits of hilarity that shaped my sense of humor. Since I can't draw a fold-in, I hope his spirit will accept this small "snappy" tribute.

I have never understood the pejorative use of the term “fan service.” If it’s earned, it’s exactly right. #Picard season 3 has been everything it ought to be. Thank you Terry Matalas and team for a beautiful, moving send-off. As a fan, I feel thoroughly, thankfully serviced.
