Blimey, it's back to basics tonight! The electricity is off, so it's candles and the Rayburn - we are resilient in the country! UK Power Networks say it's a blown mains cable, a temp fix will be in overnight before more work tomorrow. Good information from the engineer on site.

Power still off, it's an underground cable! UK Power Networks are to bring a generator. Very good response from them. The Rayburn did the trick, plenty of hot water and some warm croissants. Yay!! Now off to work and to charge up my phone!!
