We're often told that these have triggered HIAs (irresective of sanction) but who sets the limits, and shouldn't multiple lower impacts also invoke an assessment?

Andrew Watkins Research fund by the people selling it. Well, I'm convinced ! And shortening return-to-play times as the objective is surely misguided at best.

These stories will keep happening as long as people play and ad long as the researchers keep lying to the public they must speak the truth that there is no safe age to play

IMG data is good, however it demonstrating the vast brain injury burden in players at all levels.

Rest is the only scientifically proven recovery from concussion, which is why Progressive Rugby advocates for a minimum 21 day rest period post a brain injury at all levels of rugby union, not just at amateur level.

Gary Turner (@smilerturner) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Progressive Rugby I'd suggest more nuanced. 'Concussion' just a selection of signs and symptoms - not underlying brain damage/injury. Recovery from signs and symptoms is not the same as recovery from the damage/injury - 28 days is the minimum for return to play, even accepted by Ross Tucker

Gary Turner (@smilerturner) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Progressive Rugby Ross Tucker 100% agree! I'd still suggest that with the acceptance of a player remaining vulnerable for 28 days (again, accepted by Ross Tucker), allowing any player to return in that period is a breach in duty of care and on this element alone risks litigation for rugby.
