Byland Abbey (England) reconstruction mock-up over Dr Dan Spencer image,a Cistercian House. King Edward II of England stayed here in 1322. But had to flee to York when Scots defeated English army at battle of Old Byland & were sweeping the area looking for Noble hostages to ransom
