#500days since the conflict began in #Sudan, 13 million are displaced. Children and families are walking for days seeking shelter, food and safety. I talked to John Paul Makoni, interim national director of World Vision Sudan, about the dire situation on the ground.

It was an honour to preach at the Sincheon Church in Seoul this morning. This wonderful congregation has supported countless children through World Vision over the years. Today, we united to pray for those affected by crisis. And we reflected on our God of hope (Romans 15:13).

The ceasefire announced in Lebanon offers a chance for children and their families to rebuild their lives - but it must last. We pray for peace everywhere, so children can be given the chance to reach their God-given potential in life. Full reaction here: wvi.org/newsroom/middl…

We stand alongside you Tom Fletcher as you call for a ‘surge in global solidarity’, amid the heart-breaking reality facing 300 million people - especially children who are bearing the brunt. Our reaction here👇 wvi.org/newsroom/emerg… Let’s turn the tide together in 2025.

Thank you Keir Starmer for an encouraging conversation at UK Prime Minister last night. We spoke about World Vision’s #ENOUGH campaign – and the transformational power of school meals in some of the world’s toughest places to be a child.

Thank you Church Times for reminding us that the Christian new year 'doesn’t begin with the joy of Christmas Day - but with this season of waiting and hoping'. We reflected on these words during the recent #Advent reception with Keir Starmer churchtimes.co.uk/articles/2024/…

The ceasefire offers a glimmer of hope for a future free from violence. I pray we can work together to build a future where all children can grow up in safety and dignity, and where peace can truly take root. Our reaction in full: wvi.org/newsroom/jerus…

I was deeply moved by Pope Leo XIV's biblical reflection at the Vatican this morning. I was honoured to attend an audience and speak with His Holiness. Pope Francis spoke about Luke 1:26-29 – verses close to my heart. We replace fear with hope, in the name of Jesus.

I'm thinking of and praying for all the children I've met in eastern #DRC as violence flares. Our hearts break for the tens of thousands of children in the city of Goma, and nearby camps, who face being forced again from their homes. We're doing all we can to bring hope.

The power of school meals is incredible. It’s the only nutritious meal some children get all day. These meals can transform schools into vibrant places full of learning, where every child can achieve their God-given potential. #ENOUGH #InternationalSchoolMealsDay #ISMD2024

Deeply saddened to hear about Pope Francis' death this morning. It was such an honour and a blessing to spend time with him recently. I will never forget his humility, and his unique insights into the immense challenges facing the world right now. 🙏
