I support the National Farmers Union's call for a pause on the government's proposed changes to inheritance tax. We need time to gather information to determine the full impact the changes will have to family farms in Wales. Great to hear dairy farmer Carys Jones's story.

This is a deeply disingenuous line. Labour said to the National Farmers' Union that they wouldn’t introduce this tax. Farmers aren’t the wealthiest in society. The projected revenue is minuscule compared to the NHS budget but devastating to family businesses.

No concessions on IHT after National Farmers' Union meeting with the treasury! Meanwhile Thames water get some more cash to dole out to their shareholders! This country is screwed! 🤬

This government is throwing farmers to the wolves, completely disregarding the importance of farming communities to our economy and environment. The Liberal Democrats will continue to fight tooth and nail to protect rural communities against the cruel family farm tax.

While I suspect this is not actually due to the #WheatStrike, spotting a bread shortage in the Westminster Tesco today seemed too appropriate to ignore.
