So we ban Lance Armstrong for taking drugs which will give him a small but important advantage over his male rivals because it’s cheating but we let 51 year old male Valentina Petrillo have a huge advantage with no issue at all against female athletes! Why is this being allowed?

Washington sources tell me the Whitehouse feels let down by Starmer’s and Lammy’s decision to revoke licences for the export of military equipment to Israel. “They assured us they wouldn’t do this” said one

It beggars belief that the British government, a close strategic ally of Israel, has announced a partial suspension of arms licences, at a time when Israel is fighting a war for its very survival on seven fronts forced upon it on the 7th October, and at the very moment when six

Far from vindicating the government, this letter raises more serious questions for them. If civil servants signed off Estimates to parliament that they knew were false, it is a breach of the Civil Service Code irrespective of any decision by the last government to hold a Spending

Great question from Gareth Davies MP. Many Labour MPs promised their constituents £300 energy bill savings in the election. Now Labour ministers are refusing to repeat that pledge. If they’ve ditched it, they should come clean.

It's clear that the Chancellor failed to declare her donation to the Treasury Permanent Secretary prior to installing a Labour donor in a Senior Civil Service job.

1/ Sir Keir Starmer promised he would govern with respect and integrity. Instead we have a Labour HQ official parachuted into a top job in the Department of Health and Social Care, without any interview process. I’ve now raised this with DHSC perm sec. telegraph.co.uk/politics/2024/…

🧵1/ It is not true that the removal of Israel arms licenses was a legal decision. Keir Starmer should not hide behind this fig leaf. It was *very* much a political decision. #PMQs I know this, because as Trade Secretary, responsible for arms licenses, I saw the legal advice.

The Labour government should be working to ease the burden of hardworking families, not putting up their energy bills to fund a green spending splurge.

We have forced a vote in Parliament next week to stop Labour’s cut to Winter Fuel Payments. It’s our first big opportunity to stop Labour from depriving millions of pensioners vital support this winter.

Ed Miliband told his Labour colleagues to say that he would save families £300 off their bills with GB Energy. Instead he is taking £300 away from 10 million pensioners this winter and businesses, experts, and the unions say his plans will make energy more expensive.

The government is adding VAT on to private schools fees which will impact 100,000 pupils in SEND schools- so I asked what impact assessment they’d done on the effect of this on pupils & SEND school places. I didn’t get an answer, I’ll keep you posted& let you know when I get one

Labour’s Education Secretary describes her tax raid on independent schools as ‘ending a tax break’. That’s socialism - anything not taxed apparently having a lucky ‘break’. It is another attack on aspiration - pure and simple. It’s the politics of envy wrapped up in bad policy.

Devastated Labour won’t back ‘Support for Infants’ Bill. Attended 2nd Reading in HoL today - unanimous support cross party to provide info/support to families in 1001 critical days. Labour rejects it saying ‘Labour want to do more for early years’ 🙄. Yeah right.
