I've been wondering why the sycamore tree (Acer pseudoplatanus) is often referred to as 'just a sycamore'? Often heard this said in quite disparaging tones and yet it's such a beautiful and useful #tree . Good for furniture making, provides food for wildlife & pollen for bees.
