Thanks to our amazing author panel for all their work: Ilaria Testa, SciLifeLab, @KTHUniversity, Chromatin labeling and imaging, MPI for Multidisciplinary Sciences, Jonatan Alvelid, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, SciLifeLab, Leibniz-IPHT, @fran_bottanelli

The highest scientific honor – the Oscar of science – is the The Nobel Prize! 10 years ago, our director Stefan W. Hell received the #NobelPrize in #Chemistry. With the #STED (#STimulatedEmissionDepletion) microscopy & related processes, he revolutionized #lightmicroscopy. 🔬

A team led by Steffen Sahl & Stefan W. Hell MPI for Multidisciplinary Sciences and Max Planck Institute for Medical Research has succeeded in measuring distances within biomolecules using the #MINFLUX microscopy method, down to 1 nanometer and with Ångström precision. Women lose >90% of their #eggs by their mid-30s, with persistent #DNADamage driving this loss. But why isn’t this damage repaired? Our new work in Current Biology, led by Ninadini Sharma, reveals the causes of high DNA damage in aged oocytes.🧬💥 bit.ly/48e35Ee (1/13)

Finally, we have the 1st PhD student Shalini Pradhan Shalini Pradhan from Chromatin labeling and imaging group from @IMPRS_GS program at MPI for Multidisciplinary Sciences . It was challenging to make the full program in a single day, but we succeed.

Wish all of You Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!! Enjoy DALL-E AI-generated card for Chromatin labeling and imaging Chromatin labeling and imaging

We have introduced a new biocompatible sulfonium-based building block for generation of non-cytotoxic covalent fluorescent probes. The proof-of-concept paper is on BioRxiv: doi.org/10.1101/2025.0… . Great job done by Marie Auvray at MPI for Multidisciplinary Sciences ! Enjoy reading!
