Great to attend Volunteero #summit2023 yesterday so many great speakers but the learning I’ll take away was from the “Dementia Choir Family”

Such passion, energy, focus , pride & love for what they do. All whilst living with a progressive condition, so inspirational.

Looking forward to speaking at the Volunteero Summit, this week around culture & leadership, notably the profound impact we have as a leader on those we lead.

It’s not about free coffee , cake & online yoga.

It’s about listening to your staff, respecting their opinions, and the impact the day to day culture we create is having and then acting on it.

This does sadden me , times change and we need to be more diverse about what really matters now , for me what really matters is that staff are kind caring compassionate and give great care to our patients and each other.

Absolutely Claire , it you don’t water a plant it rots . We are no different we need watering to allow our roots to continually grow, and as leaders we need to keep topping up that reservoir for those we lead.

Today was the final deadline for our submissions on NHS Leadership Academy 💙 Rosalind Franklin Programme.

This programme has taught me so much but has further cemented my belief in being transparent and consistent about my principles and values.

Feeling rather thankful.
