Glad those empty hotels and services we’re all paying for are helping. Assuming it will just get worse through next year until city leadership changes.

Our schools are also a tax burden many families and individuals fund while never using. “Woke” agendas are only a problem for some people because our schools are publicly funded. End that, end the problem.

I keep seeing tweets about CapMetro expansion and our new light rail system growing. Where is the usage data? Are we spending money on something people aren’t using? I’m curious.

Glad we’re spending money one replacing functional infrastructure for no reason! Can I get one of the old shelters since I paid for part of it? Would make a nice patio cover… 🤣

There will be a lot fewer trees in Austin with @LesliePoolATX new zoning proposal! With all of the cement and impervious ground cover, it’ll just get hotter and more miserable!

Distraction. We have budget issues, police issues, infrastructure issues, and everybody is focused bus stop covers. Silly way for Cap Metro to blow through cash, so there's an issue there, but this is a distraction.

So true. Tarrytown isn’t stressing about a new $900k duplex or 5 story luxury apartments. The development lobby is so strong here.

Why is everybody losing their mind over water breaks? It’s 105 outside, and I’m 100% certain there are bigger issues plaguing Texas. 10 minutes every 4 hours seems reasonable. Why is this a hill to die on?

Glad we’re investing in Cap Metro. Glad we’re doing away with on site parking to push public transport ridership. Glad we’re replacing bus stop stalls. No matter how much the city wants us to be a public transport first city, citizens have to want it for it to be so.

Good decisions are built on a foundation of good data, but bad decisions often don’t have any connection to data. CoA can still make bad decisions even with this corrected.

The world is burning around us and we’re all focused on 10 minutes every 4 hours. The thirst strike is ludicrous, but the fact that everybody is expending energy on any of this is the real loss. cbsaustin.com/news/local/aus…

It's ridiculous to say that letting people live in RVs is a solution to affordable housing. Being in a tiny trailer crammed on a small lot with a four person family sounds like a dystopian nightmare... kut.org/austin/2023-09…

Guess what?! My power is out again! 12 times in 8 months. I’m at a loss for what to do next. @LesliePoolATX can’t help. Austin Energy can’t help. I’ve run out of people to contact. I don’t think this is normal, but I have no clue what to do now. FOX 7 Austin Austin Statesman CBS Austin

All of the blatant antisemitism in the US right now is heartbreaking. I understand how people are upset with the Israeli Government or the IDF, but your next door neighbor doesn't deserve a firehose of hate for just being Jewish. It's stressful and confusing. What is happening???

Sad to be greeted by an anti-Israel protestor in front of the Starbucks on Far West… it’s Hanukkah. Just chill…
