James Blake streaming has found a way to “reinvent the wheel” while strategically eliminating all parts of the wheel that paid musicians for their work. we created mechanical royalty rates etc for old media forms, we need something realistically comparable for streaming or music dies!!

Last week: attended the #LakeMacAwards, played a beautiful keys gig for The Album Show in Sydney, completed the first phase of my PhD project. Also managed a little getaway with my kids. Not a brag, just flagging this memory for when things inevitably get chaotic again.

Heading to Tamworth Country Music Festival for a bunch of shows this month, including hosting duties at the Atrium Festival stage, a big beautiful showcase of songbirds at The Capitol Theatre, and a few cameos on keys with Piper Butcher and The Album Show.
