Interesting juxtaposition w the Bible verse

I think one of the most important safety tips for women is to pay attention to how a man responds to a no, & I don't just mean a literal no. How does he respond when you disagree, when you refuse to defer to him, when you set a boundary, when you're unavailable.

Trauma survivors often do this thing where we ask for less help than we actually need-- yet we feel asking for ANY help at all is 'too much.' So we walk around lacking basic resources & support-- but at the same time feeling needy & burdensome.

The f*ck?

Suicide following extensive histories of family violence victimisation are not reflected in statistics around lives lost from violence against women. Including them would better reflect the range of harm & allow for a clearer capture of the totality of deaths.
