Reflecting on my first in-flight maternity emergency. Very grateful A) for midwives and B) that we took the time to prepare a comprehensive “what if” plan, despite a senior HCP saying this was unnecessary and too cautious of us. Being prepared always pays off.

Today - after 9 horrific months - my wonderful, strong, beautiful Dad finally left ICU. The send off from UHS Critical Care was beyond words. Everything University Hospital Southampton 💙 has done for Dad defied all expectations. We cannot thank them enough. His team will always hold a place in our heart.
