Yesterday, Uber told its UK drivers that they would now be classified as (Limb B) workers, who unlike self-employed contractors, are eligible for minimum wages, holiday pay, pension, etc. This is a win, but falls far short of what the recent SC judgement asked Uber to do. 1/

Uber’s position that drivers be unpaid while waiting for fares (like grocery cashiers being paid ONLY for the time they check people’s grocery out) is what they are doing in CA, and want to do all over. Not only does it “run afoul of the British court”, it fails the moral test.
