Solitary confinement is torture. NJ-PJW (Prison Justice Watch)’s latest report captures first-hand accounts from survivors of prolonged isolation and asserts that inadequate progress has been made over the last five years to implement the reforms of the Isolated Confinement Restriction Act (ICRA).

A NJ law requires those incarcerated in state prisons to be allowed outside their cells for at least four hours a day. However, a new report says nothing close to that happens, and advocates say the state is subjecting prisoners to "inhumane conditions." ow.ly/64Xv50TBnKk
