Today’s train journey brings us from Ulm back up to Heidelberg! It is still hot, so I hope I can entice DS to explore the old town later… first we need to freshen up at the hotel

Weinschörle and a great view after a trip up the mountain on the funiculars. Followed by burgers and a walk-about in downtown. Heidelberg is cute but very touristy…

This journey is a page turner! Half an hour into a 2-hour train journey. Then a change-over to a 1-hour leg. This will bring us from Heidelberg to Koblenz, the last stop before home!

8 kg of plums cut and bagged up in the fridge for processing tomorrow, 3 kg in the jam pot. And still around 5 kg left I think... (the tub shows starting quantity) That is what I did while watching the stream of #TSErasTour tonight 👑

After a leasurely evening making plum wine, plum syrup and plum pie, I realised I had a deadline SOB instead of EOB today, so I was up until 230 translating... To then get up early again to be my happy and cheerful self for an interpreting job from 900 to 1200. Slightly tired...

Need to take the 615 train on Monday (ie leave for the station at 530, ie get up at 430) and I am already looking forward to it. 😶

Cleaned my bike which had become positively green (I do use it every day…) and changed energy supplier while watching #Olympics That is enough procrastinating. Back to work!

4 km was enough of a walk in this heat. But it is good to walk without pain again.
