He’s been shot, jailed, had his political party effectively banned, and name purged from mainstream media. But you just can’t keep Imran Khan down ti.me/48aQxw2

And this is not hate speech, this is not incitement, this is not terrorism. The double standards of the powers that be, are just unfathomable.

Just watched Heeramandi. Found everything but heermandi in it. I mean either you don’t set your story in 1940’s Lahore, or if you do- you don’t set it in Agra’s landscape, Delhi’s Urdu, Lakhnavi dresses and 1840’s vibe. My not-so-sorry Lahori self can’t really let it go.

Sickening. When you talk about war like it’s a game of chess, you have no right to be called human. And his comments on procreation are ironic given he belongs to the country with the largest population in the world.

I am fully convinced that 2019 was the last normal year we ever had. Ever since then, it feels like everything’s broken. Everyone is constantly anxious, time moves too fast, and nothing actually feels real anymore. The world as we knew it is just gone

“I do not wish to overstate the point, but pause for a moment and consider: if Russia had killed 167 Ukrainian schoolgirls, if Palestinians had killed 167 Israeli schoolgirls, if Iran had killed 167 schoolgirls, it would have been the biggest news story in the world for years.”

Growing up in a Shia family, I often wondered why Imam Hussain & his caravan stood alone in Karbala. Watching the Arab world as an adult, it started making sense. Power breeds many modern day Yaazids. For those who stand for truth, everyday is Ashura, every land is Karbala.

Iran stands. The world gave it sanctions and nothing more. Forty years of blockade. No loans. No mercy. Just pressure meant to crush. Yet Iran builds. It turns out more cars than Britain or Russia. Its factories send gas turbines to Russia to replace what Siemens once supplied.
