You can’t control what people do; you can’t control what they say. But you can control how you respond. My message is very simple; quit giving away your joy. Quit letting the same people upset you. Quit letting the things that don’t work out frustrate you.

God doesn’t call you to change your personality to answer His purpose.

If you don’t know who you are, a child of the Most High God, then you’ll spend your energy trying to get other people to validate you. But when you’re secure in who God made you to be, you won’t live trying to impress people and getting your value out of what they think.

It would be so much easier if we could see the promise on the way, if God would just let us see what He’s up to. But you have to trust the process. While you’re waiting, things are growing; things are developing. God is bringing it all together.

When you’re at rest, you’re in faith. When you’re at rest, you know God’s in control, you know all things are going to work for your good, you know that what He started He will finish.

Doesn’t get any better than this. Honored by my hometown of Hempstead with Mayor Erica Gillum proclaiming today “Mark Berman Day” in Hempstead and she gave me the key to the city. Plus Hempstead ISD Superintendent Herbert O’Neil Jr gave me the Hempstead ISD Trailblazer Award.
