Another round of Missouri State COE mental health first aiders through MHFA Missouri are heading back into their student teaching placements today. I'm hopeful they are more equipped to face the challenges presented by mental health concerns in schools. ❤️

5 more Missouri State COE mental health first aiders certified today! These ELE and ECE teachers reported feeling informed and equipped after our training. All Missouri State COE student teachers have an opportunity to attend this internationally recognized training! Next one is this Spring!

Wrapping up summer research, but really just starting something. In a survey of 75 teachers across the US, 100% report that they experience the impact of secondary trauma, yet only 25% of them have healthy practices in place to navigate those impacts. Let's talk about that.
