Recently Senator Jerry Moran and Jay Bhattacharya, MD, PhD visited the KU Medical Center to tour research labs conducting Alzheimer's research and a future brain health building on their campus. They met with Alz Assoc. advocates to discuss the importance of funding for Alzheimer's research. #ENDALZ

Today, the Alzheimer's Association stopped in to visit about their legislative priorities this session. I've always stood for protecting the most vulnerable, and I will continue to ensure that those battling dementia, like my own father did, are protected.

Yesterday marked our annual KS Alz Assoc. Advocacy Day at the State Capitol, which was a tremendous success! The day concluded with a significant achievement: our state priority, HB2536 Dementia Training for Court Appointed Guardians, was approved by the committee. #ENDALZ #ksleg

The KS House unanimously passed HB 2536 which requires dementia training for court appointed guardians that are assigned to someone with cognitive decline or dementia. Now it's on to the senate! If you live in KS, thank your state representative for their support! #ENDALZ #ksleg
