i just turned my work alarms back on and wow that was sad 🥲

the latest diss going around my 4th grade classroom is: “you are dog-water” .....

i didn’t cry on my first day back to work today, i think that deserves a prize

my kids were GRUMPY this morning but my heart needed to see them

i have such supportive people in my life and for that i’m forever grateful

it was such an honor to be nominated for Rookie of the Year! I love what I do and who I do it with!

today one of my 4th graders looked at me and said “Ms. Hartshorn, are you ready to go to 5th grade?” i then had to break it to him that i wasn’t moving to 5th grade with him...

i think my 4th graders have had more relationship drama this year than i have ever had in my life 😐

i told my students today that their free teacher appreciation gift is that they will actually listen…. still waiting on that gift from them

just the coolest experience for these kiddos!

a new core memory 🥹

students start tomorrow, which i’m super excited about! i am not excited to be back on scheduled bathroom breaks

i tell my students “i love you” every day as they leave my room and today my student from Rwanda (who doesn’t speak English) said it to me as he was walking out 🥹🥹 i love it so much but also have a fear he thinks that’s how you say bye to everyone 😅😂

i had a student reading a book about meerkats today, and he turned the page and goes “ah just as i suspected, the babies are cuter than the mom” 🥹😂

me: “you know i love you right?” 4th grader: “i love you most” 5 minutes later 4th grader: “if you were a princess, i’d be your henchman”

This gameday sign is very funny, and not because it’s true whatsoever, but because only Coloradans will get the reference 😂
