A similar story when the Leng Review visited UHB last month. Every PA in the trust was formally invited. Yet when it came to Resident Doctor representation, I was one of only two in attendance, having found out via word and mouth the day before the visit.

It is troubling that resident doctors were reportedly not informed of Professor Gillian Leng's visit to University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust as part of her review into the safety of PAs and AAs. Philip Banfield 💙 has written to the CEO to express our concerns and seek answers. Read the letter:

Is it any surprise that DDRB with their “revised terms of reference” decide to use 2010 as their start point for considering reduction in real terms pay during their 25/26 report? And they still manage to have a moan that they don’t have the final word as the “independent body”

When considering the pay award this year, remember the effect of fiscal drag from static income tax thresholds which mean (from some quick estimates) many doctors will still be facing real terms take home pay losses from this award Resident Doctors

With fiscal drag and drs being dragged into higher pension contribution brackets, this award represents a loss in real terms take home pay
