Well done to our KS3 and KS4 students on completing the mini marathon (2.6k) in school last week to celebrate the success of our former student Charlie Hulson. Amazing effort by everyone!! Alun School

We have just finished a week of live online PE lessons. So much fun and great to see all of our students engaged. Today's theme was the 12 days of Christmas with students performing 12 different exercise. Merry Christmas everyone!! Alun School
Welcome to the Alun School January challenge. We are encouraging all students, staff and parents to run or walk as many kilometers as they can in January. Students are competing in form groups against one another. Enjoy the challenge!
Teachers and students are doing everything they can to run or walk as many kilometers for the January challenge! Final day today!! As it stands, year 7 lead the way, but 10CM have accumulated the most km's as a form group! Who is going to take first prize? π§ Alun School
We are pleased to share that year 7 are the winners of the January challenge! In total, they have walked/run 2021 km's!!! Wow!!! Year 8 and 9 also showed a amazing effort with 1200 km's each. Altogether, students at the Alun School have walked/run nearly 5000 kms during January!
Years 10 and 11 also did very well in the January challenge. Not only have they done their best with their GCSE studies, but they have accumulated more than 500 kms in total. Very well done everyone! It's amazing to motivate such a great group of students. Alun School
Take a look at the awards we are giving to staff and students. The trophy has been won by Science for their amazing efforts. The medals on the right will be given to students who have covered a specific distance and to those in the winning form group. Alun School

Students and staff at the Alun School have achieved the following during the January challenge: 1. Walked/run to Malaysia 2. Walked to New York and back 3. Walked from Mold to Cardiff 47 times!! 4. Went from John O'groats to Lands End 11 times!! What a fantastic achievement!
The PE department have set a new challenge to staff and students at the Alun School. In recognition of the true hero, Sir Captain Tom, we are walking 100,000 steps each in February. Multiples of 100,000 is of course encouraged. Lets do this guys! #SirTomMoore
