When CRTs get this bad, the goop runs out the bottom. On the ADM this means it gets into the logic board and keyboard. Thankfully, this system was found lying on its side with a puddle of gunk under it - not inside! Still, there's a fair bit of cleanup to do.

Today I have installed my very first art exhibit at the National Institute for Research in Digital Science and Technology. Large format prints are so immersive!

Following JTAG scraping video Mickey posted recently. What if there is RAM on top? Well, I just tried another approach and it also works 😉

Spent the week end at the HomeComputerMuseum in Helmond to celebrate the return of the Holborn 6100 (right) that was gone missing from a donation. Many thanks for receiving us and showing us your incredible collection of computers that can all be used by visitors. Give them a visit!

My Fennec VTI boards just came in yesterday and got one all soldered up. It's a 6845 based text/keyboard interface for my Fennec 6800 single board computer.

Automated stepper for die photography, a thread: As some of you were curious learning more about my automated microscopy setup, here is a summary of my solution and what I have learned from building it. I will also link to other microscopists working on automated setup (1/15)

"Invisicalc" by CE Software, (creators of the Swordthrust series). Everybody has heard of Visicalc, but CE Software released a little known ziplock baggie parody package called Invisicalc. It is compatible with Apple II, IBM, Atari, TRS-80, C64, Osbourne & many other computers.

Does anyone know how to read IBM SLT/MST cards and chips codes? For the cards, I know 5862769 is the card number (a buffer for the 129), but I have no clue how to interpret A196355. The bottom card is RAM. Same goes with the chips. Ken Shirriff @bitsavers any pointer?
