Watching fires blazing all around us near forest areas,I’m thinking that surrounded by grapevines, citrus trees, tomatoes, avocados and cherries may not be the most glamorous but, it sure seems safe. Miles of farmland has given us barrier against developing fires. Loving Fresno

Sitting here reading the Bee story on PG&E and wondering why so many wildfires take place in California versus trees located in so many other states. Is it California policies? Does global warming only happen in the golden state? Can someone help me understand this?
