Always remember to close doors in your home before going to bed. This can prevent the spread of fire and smoke damage and give you valuable time to get out if there's an emergency. Make sure you have a smoke detector on every level of your home, too!

West Midlands Fire Service Thank you so much for rescuing my 88yr old father Danny last night when there was a fire next door to him. A professional & prompt response from our amazing emergency services. Fire fighter Lavender was so kind and patient with my dad who was really upset and in shock. Thank you

Not my video, but passed to me by a former London Fire Brigade colleague. A house fire in East London a couple of weeks ago caused by an e-scooter lithium battery. The burning batteries 'flaring' causes overpressure which looks like mini-backdraughts!!!
