Some things are better blotted off of my memory... "The times I break the trust of anyone who loves" There's no better offer than love: the love of God, the love of friends, the love of Family, the love of a spouse, the love of our children...

Well, I see some disturbing trends in our University, things fall apart indeed... first, the institution's idol; the Ivory Tower burns down, then the Freshers' Ball story, and most recently guild campaign rallies claiming a life! We're going back in time, to live there.

If we do not tolerate our differences, remember there's no such thing non-coexistence! Whenever we fail to live together, some alien with a shaky understanding of us comes as a uniting element. MAKERERE twedekko banange.

Teaching Chemistry students is very easy, but teaching natural chemists who know so little can get messy. Make sure they don't touch your things when you are still away. It's black fun.😎💥

Adolescence is tough for young people. It's like being both a child and an adult at the same. The Americans celebrate "Sweet sixteen", the Bagishu usher their teenage boys by Circumcision ceremony. Children in this stage need contant verbal and emotional confidence giving feats.

Without constant confidence booster feats for adolescents, they remain longer in a cage of not being sure of their position or potential. It delays their productivity.

Parents, give that young man your car, ask him to bathe their sibling, send him to withdraw large sum of cash, task them with organising a family get together, let him visit or host a friend(s). Allow them to account for everything. Let them give their ideas.

Every child has both a sense of self/ego and "self-denial". As elders, we can mould these traits towards a healthy self-esteem and teamwork, to make them productive at work. Traditionally, lastborn kids are a prick! Their sense of self is fed more making them terrible at teamwork

There's definite difference between boys and girls. Just because girls are relatively more manageable shouldn't tempt us into taming boys. I'm sure we need the spirit of boys to be alive. The comfort of killing it is only temporary. Help them expend those energies for growth.

Children are likely to seek whatever they received from home growing up, such as love, gifts, frienship, praise, respect, hard labour, etc; and likely to run away from whatever they ran from growing up, like drama, rebuke, hard labour. These carry through to adulthood.

Allan Okello (@allanokello23) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Drama or love, these are a part of life. To produce balanced individuals who can embrace life, parent figures need to help their youngsters cultivate harmonious responses! They shouldn't run away nor fall for anything. They must be unshakeable.

If we don't tell our children the truth of things early; should they discover for themselves from third parties, they will override our leadership in our own faces. Worse still, if we do not practise the truth ourselves; they would take on a lie in practice, from third parties.

Children in the hands of abusive authority figures turn out to struggle with obeying, trusting or role-playing authority figures in later life. Even negligence of command is a form of abuse of authority.

Is submission of a wife to her husband's authority in the eyes of her children of any value to the child's maturity? I don't have statistics now but gut feeling. I won't share, you think of it...

All factors constnt, a child will usually go as far as you made them believe; every child seeks confirmation from adults. Should we cancel them constantly, they'll take it as we said. I believe cancellation of children is responsible for the poverty cycle. Please fan their light.
