Multi Color Printing on X1C always nice again to watch. Zero issues with tool changes on AMS. Compared to MMU much more reliable based on my own experiences.

First prototype of 3d scanning frame designed with FreeCAD (CAD+CAM+FEA) and it's working great. By using global marker scan with RaptorX 3d scanner it's possible to scan object full 360° in one scan without the need of alignment. This has lot of potential to improve 3d scanning.

Designed new v2 version of my 3d scanning frame which allow 360° scanning in one go. Ideas come true by using FreeCAD FreeCAD (CAD+CAM+FEA) which further improved with new 1.0 version.

Improved version of my scanning frame v2 which is working great. Designed with FreeCAD (CAD+CAM+FEA) v1.0. Object can be scanned 360° .... in one go. No markers on object needed! No alignment of several scans needed! It works amazing and i would call this next level 3d laser scanning.

Now i am even more convinced using 360° scanning frame. I have scanned this transparent battery cover using scanning spray IN ONE GO without the need of alignment. Most 3d scanning users might know how difficult the alignment of such small and flat objects can be. CREALITY Official

Helmet scanned with MetroX in Full-Field mode and feature tracking. Cool how it has captured also deep inside and small slot in front of the helmet. #MyMetroXScan Revopoint 3D

If you search for easy solution to align top and bottom from very flat and feature-less objects. Just add some "alignment helper" with marker dots. Then use manual merging by marker feature to precisely merge top and bottom scan.

Great video showing reverse engineering of 3d scan using FreeCAD FreeCAD (CAD+CAM+FEA) Reverse Engineering with FreeCAD: Step-by-Step Guide to Designing Around... youtu.be/8jJOpbyPAUU?si… via YouTube

RaptorX 3d laser scan combined with high quality texture from photogrammetry. While laser scan provide excellent object quality the texture is not the best. So i mapped the excellent texture from photogrammetry onto 3d laser scan. The result is amazing!

Scanned with Creality 3D Scanner RaptorX and then reverse engineered in FreeCAD (CAD+CAM+FEA). First import STL-mesh and slice needed plane. Then create required sketeches from slices. Finally create reverse engineered model optimized for 3d printing.

Got my hands on MAF3 structured light scanner. Scanning result pretty much impressive and scanner extremly easy to use! OpenScan Matter and Form Inc. #3d #openscanbenchy #3dscan

Reverse engineering 3d scan using FreeCAD (CAD+CAM+FEA) #FreeCAD resulting in pretty clean and crisp CAD model. Beside this all measurements are available and no caliper needed any more.

Designed handle for the EINSTAR Rockit scanner using FreeCAD (CAD+CAM+FEA) #FreeCAD by reversing 3d scan. It's a perfect fit and keeps the device securely. Using 3d scan to creating something for a 3d scanner curious but makes sense.
