Nottingham 1975 I started a photographic course. One of my main tutors was leading American photographer Thomas Joshua Cooper. This weekend covering the Boswell Book Festival Book Festival I met him again. He genuinely remembered me. Thankyou for your education and my career

As we look back on the Queen's glorious 70yrs I clearly recall the first time I photographed her at the opening of a Day Surgery no flash was permitted, a discreet distance had to be maintained This was one of my favourites as she chatted to patients. #JubileeCelebration

12 yrs ago I summited Mt Kilimajaro in the memory of a young man Allister Boyd who sadly had passed away from cancer before he was 21. Today I learnt of the sad passing of his father who now has joined his son. RIP Robert

Postcard from Ayrshire : A recent corporate photography job found me at Dumfries House, before the guests arrived Ayr Pipe band played, much to the delight of the visitors mainly from Amercia who were later wined and dined in the house. What a magnificent showcase for Ayrshire

A great initiative by South Ayrshire Council has seen wild flower meadows being created in areas around the county. This particular meadow forms a lovely forground for the iconic ruin of Dunure Castle

As a photographer heard many excuses when trying to take a photo of reluctant subject usually around the theme of " I will break your camera " you get the idea. On saturday night heard the best one yet." No son you canna take my photie .. I dont get my new teeth till next week
