Removing statutory right to provision that meets children's indiv needs isn't the answer. When children & young people don't get support they need when it's legally required, why would anyone think they'll get it when the legal underpinnings are removed? #SaveOurChildrensRights

Labour spent 14 years opposing austerity only to get power and cut support for the poorest and sickest disabled people Literally what are you in power for?

You’re telling someone who needs 1:1 care to wash, eat, and stay alive that they’ll get £3,000 less a year—because it might “encourage them into work.” They can’t even dress themselves. This isn’t just cruel. It’s dehumanising. #UniversalCredit #CrueltyNotCare UN Human Rights

BREAKING: Rachael Maskell has become the fourth Labour MP to be suspended from Keir Starmer's party today. Just listen to her impassioned speech and tell me she deserved this. What on earth is the PM thinking?

Proud to be campaigning with a brilliant group of (mainly) women who are positioned as being “too much” for trying to protect disabled children’s rights. theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2…

Having to buy another wheelchair for family member No this is not funded by NHS or anyone else Fancy spending a few thousand on an item just to keep you mobile ? No ? The cost of ANY disability per month is on average £975 MORE than a person without a disability. Still jealous ?

Shame on you Paultons Theme Park Peppa Pig World This is the availability for an access pass, which you have to PRE-BOOK, having already jumped through hoops to "prove" disability several days before booking. Such #discrimination #Disability #disabled #EqualRights #WantSpontaneityToo

This scenario goes for all Merlin Attractions too, despite the lies the press & government would have you believe about disabled people getting queue jumps & special perks.

When a paid carer works too many hours, it’s a safeguarding concern. When an unpaid carer does the same, it’s called “love and duty.” That double standard is costing lives — and the system relies on it to save money. 🪡

Thank you Dr Carrie Grant MBE (hc) 💙 for this excellent article. "Without [EHC plans] there would be no rigour, no meaningful challenge and, ultimately, no power to ensure that the right educational support is provided." Exactly why we are campaigning to #SaveOurChildrensRights

COVID INQUIRY Prof Whitty on VENTILATION in schools: “It's an uncontroversial statement from an epidemiological point of view to say that improving ventilation in schools would be a good thing […] The advantages of ventilation are very substantial.” So why aren’t we doing it?

Anyone can become disabled. Anyone can lose their job Anyone can become homeless Anyone can go hungry. These are not moral failings. They can happen in an instant. Most people are far closer to living in poverty than they realize. We must fight for one another
