Setting up for Writer’s Workshop yesterday!
Each class collaboratively created a list of purposes for writing after reading quotes from authors about why they keep a notebook.
Aftermath.
I did a lot of pull-ups last year.
Last decade.
Last quarter century.
But when I woke up this morning the count was the same as it is when I wake up every day with everything I do:
THE COUNT IS ZERO.
No laurels to rest on or slack to be given.
THE COUNT IS ZERO.
Students see success, but they must see the struggle that goes into the success. Getting students to work through obstacles and failures is one of the most important things we can do #growthmindset #grit
Think about this. The phrase "The Bills are in the playoffs" has never been tweeted, posted on Facebook, or uttered by an Uber driver. It has never been told over satellite radio. It has never been streamed. It has never been blogged or vlogged. It has been faxed, though.
