I was always proud to be part of Dennis' family (by marriage), and grateful to have had the chance to spend time with him again during the last decade or so. He was charismatic, funny, full of stories, but most of all he was the most important thing - he was kind. I'll miss him.

Day 3 of teaching for the The Sutton Trust at University of St Andrews. Today we're talking about 'Teaching the Climate'. It's so good to be in the classroom again, and with such a great bunch of students too.

Last month, TGP joined a Green Tease event to speak about climate migration and their work developing a climate literacy climate series. Thank you @CCScotland for having us!

💰 The pupil premium is given to schools to support disadvantaged pupils. But we have found that many school leaders are using this funding to plug gaps in their general budgets. 41% are now doing so - the highest figure seen since we started looking at the issue.

#Indigenous people have been at the forefront of #climatejustice efforts, and the term itself can give power to historically oppressed groups. However, it can also be complicated and cause more harm when co-opted to serve other agendas. Let’s go #BackToBasics with #Indigeneity!

At 20, I walked into Paul Wilkinson's class - and walked out with a reading list 10 academic sources and 10 novels long. In IR he was ahead of his time in teaching how different forms of imagination help us understand complex relations. I tell classes about him all the time.

Parties seeking power should be vying to literally promise voters the earth this year, but they're silent on the climate & nature crisis. Time for a dedicated #ClimateDebate.
