Working from her Pasadena studio, Savio builds each sculpture from wire frames, layering clay and acrylic paint into figures that pulse with life. You may have even seen her art on screen — her work appeared in the film “Grumpier Old Men.”

Born during the stillness of the 2020 pandemic, Savio's Akhnaten sculpture series brings to life the doomed Pharaoh of Egypt: his coronation, his union to Queen Nefertiti, his six daughters, and ultimately his downfall.

An Argentinian-American artist and former ballet dancer trained at the National School of Dance in Buenos Aires, she sculpts with the instincts of a performer, every piece charged with rhythm, movement, and theatricality.

Her work spans Abstract Expressionism across both sculpture and painting, and has shown at LACMA, the Long Beach Museum of Art, the Eduardo Sívori Museum in Argentina, and the Boston Court Performing Arts Center in Pasadena.
