I am VERY lucky that Alice Haywood-Ismailah has done a range of jobs within the profession of being exposed to ASD, SEN & MH, yet it is still very evident that even she admits, it doesn’t come easy as each person is different - which is a pivotal statement for a neurotypical to pick up

Had to remind a patient that I am human too and didn’t appreciate being spoken to in such a bad way. The actual shock on her face was confusing… should I not have admitted I was human or did she just expect me to take the disrespect lying down?… 💀

4 counties. 6 patients. 8 standowns. 189 miles driven. 12 hours. A healthy baby boy born. 1 bag of Percy Pigs. Two coffee stops. All done for 12 hours. Until tonight ✌🏼

Started my Paramedic Science degree 5 years ago today. A naive 20 something year old. Here I am, today, 5 years older and still as naive as I began - just with a little more sass 💀 💁🏼‍♀️

Cried for the first time in a long time at work today. 80-something year old, no food, no heat. Freezing, hungry, forgotten about and still adamant others needed help more than him. This job really does get to you sometimes, and it’s the things you thought it wouldn’t be about
