About 3 years ago, we launched Dashibase. The Supabase team and community were very supportive, which led to good traction right away. I remember waking up to many RTs and 100+ waitlist signups. Sadly, we couldn’t make it work eventually. 3 years flew by in a blink of an eye!

I used to think nobody would trust radio ads. Then, my dad told me to buy him a $2,000 massage chair. I was happy to, and suggested we try it at the showroom first. He said the radio guy said it's good, so it must be good.

When I was an admin assistant, most days were consumed by boring repetitive tasks. It's surprising how we (both corp and tech) are still stuck with such grunt work. If you are dying to automate some admin work, we are looking for 5-10 eager beta testers for Dewlop!

It's interesting how the two products are becoming kind of similar (debatable, I know) but people seem to lean more towards Cursor. It seems to be because Cursor is more product-focused while Windsurf is more marketing-focused and devs hate marketing?

It's becoming increasingly possible to create general AI assistants that do things for us. Here, Dewlop creates a plan and works through the task of renaming invoices according to their content. It even got our complicated Supabase invoice with 10+ dollar values right. 👍🏻

Repetitive tasks like this should really be automated so that we can focus on what we love and what we are good at (often the very human, emotional, creative side of our work).

this might be a wild take, but i’m honestly just tired of how new apps gets marketed these days. launches now feel more like perfume ads than actual product releases. all this manufactured hype and dramatic trailers that have nothing to do with the actual product, it feels like

We usually hear about AI taking away creative work. Here's a fun example of AI taking away grunt work. If you have created Word documents with calculations (hey, financial statements!), you know the "joy" of checking the numbers. Dewlop can read docs + use Python for you.

I might be the only weirdo using Cursor in light mode lol. I want to love dark mode but I get a starburst effect, which makes it hard to read anything on a dark background.

Trying to do something different requires you to: 1. First, know what everyone else is doing (so you know what’s the same) 2. But, at the same time, have the courage to not follow the crowd (which is hard for most people)

For the past 24 weeks, I published a short letter to myself. But I’m taking a break this week (and maybe this month) because I have been feeling rather overwhelmed and behind our startup’s June goal. As always, I’ll be back!

I think the struggle is because I love my work. Taking it easy feels off to me. But my creative work quality suffers if I push myself at an unsustainable pace. Ultimately I need to find my own pace, like how some writers alternate between writing intensely and doing nothing.
