It was fantastic to attend the final NYCTC conference last weekend, hosted by Jesus College . The group has been an extremely important part of my PhD experience, and I would like to thank everyone at Columbia University, New York University and Cambridge University for all their work!

My first article, ‘“We’ve been left out”: women’s refuges in Northern Ireland, 1974-2008’, is out now in Modern British History. It’s a truly inspiring story and I’m grateful to everyone at Women's Aid NI who shared their time and memories. Cambridge History Camb British History academic.oup.com/tcbh/advance-a…

Thank you to DAAD Cambridge Hub and Institut für Zeitgeschichte München−Berlin for a brilliant and stimulating conference on Pop Histories of deindustrialization. I enjoyed presenting on industrial sounds and spaces in the 1980s Sheffield music scene, and meeting some amazing scholars in the field!
