How to handle a tear gas canister 🤔 Pour water around the canister to help seal the base of the traffic cone used to contain it. Then douse it from the top and cover it. DON'T PICK THEM UP unless you have welder's gloves. CS canisters burn as hot as 800 C.

American friends: I was always curious as to how LA, which is seen as nominally a Blue area, has had a violent police force for decades. Is there a reason measures were not taken to turn the LAPD into community policing instead of what seems like a paramilitary force?
