Sgt. Haron Lagat, and Sgt. Caroline Sang, both Track and Field Soldier-athletes assigned to the World Class Athlete Program were recognized during a formation on Monday, April 4. Lagat was recognized for his time at WCAP, and Sang was promoted to her current rank.

Congratulations to Staff Sgt. Spenser Mango on his re-enlistment during a ceremony held today at the World Class Athlete Program, Fort Carson, Colorado. Mango serves as a coach for the Men’s Greco-Roman Wrestling team.

Pvt. Tristan Kelly and Spc. Adrianna Dorado-Marin are U20 National Champions! The two also qualified as Junior World Team Members during the U20 National Championships.

An inspiring story: On Memorial Day, Staff Sgt. Leonard Korir took 1st place of over 50,000 at the Bolder Boulder 10K; finishing the race in 29:28. He is the first service-member to ever win the race, and the first American to win the men’s professional race since 1984.
