I'm excited to use these RP2040 stamps I made in some future projects. It felt a little risky ordering these turnkey overseas for the first time, but it worked out! osborneee.com/rp2040-isp-sta…

Many thanks to the individuals who developed the AR488 open-source USB-to-GPIB Arduino interface. PCB design is my own... will solder into a mangled GPIB cable directly. github.com/Twilight-Logic…

I took me a minute to get this USB-to-GPIB converter working (should've checked my pinouts first...). Now that I've saved the calibration data I can poke around inside.

Keep the HP3478A powered on while replacing the SRAM battery to hold onto the cal data. You don't need an isolation transformer or a gas-powered iron. Cut out the old battery and solder in the new, positive terminal first (diode CR764 blocks the short to ground through the iron).

See you later, SWOT! 👋 The Surface Water and Ocean Topography satellite has been encapsulated in a payload fairing, which will be placed on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket. It's scheduled for launch on Dec. 15 at 3:46 a.m. PT from Vandenberg Space Force Base. go.nasa.gov/3W4vUMb

Just made an update to my worst case analysis software to include root-sum-square, in addition to extreme value and Monte Carlo. As an electrical engineer working in aerospace, I do these sorts of calculations all the time. github.com/amosborne/wors…

One of my responsibilities at Vast has been to lead the development of our space station's 15kW solar array. A solar array is a cross-disciplinary product, so there is a lot to consider when designing one! osborneee.com/spacecraft-sol…
