The taxi driver yesterday told me to put on a seatbelt to avoid a fine. The taxi driver this morning had a seat belt device and told me nobody cares about seat belts. Lmao

Taxi driver tells me the Harbin economy is doing fine, I probe and ask him how driving is and he says he makes less money than 5 years ago. He also owns his apartment and tells me life goes on, he drives 10-13 hours a day. He says his Toyota is better than Chinese cars

Visited the Unit 731 site where Japanese scientists experimented on and killed thousands of Chinese, Korean, and Soviet civilians during their occupation of China. Vivvisections, purposely infecting humans with the plague and various diseases and freezing them alive, dark stuff.

Visited antique stores in China and was shocked to see all the silver coins. A silver coin worth 1 RMB in 1930 is now easily worth 1000+ RMB. The communists banned silver in trade and forced people to switch to fiat, the smart people who kept their silver got 1000x returns.

Went to the ShenYang Finance Museum. Amazing collection, the world's oldest surviving paper currency from the 1400's Ming Dynasty and ultra rare silver and gold coins. They have an exhibit on the evolution of money with cards and QR payments but zero mention of Bitcoin, NGMI!

The essence of travel is eating on a local street stall, drinking with locals til 2am, coming out of the conversation with a much deeper understanding of the space and surroundings

Found a Republic of China manhole cover in ShenYang. This manhole cover has seen the Chinese Civil War, creation of the People's Republic of China, the Great Leap Forward, The Cultural Revolution, 64, and is still chugging along.

All my Chinese silver was seized at airport customs, can't take it out of the country. A climactic end to my journey around northeast china. At least they let me ship it to my grandpa's house.

Having my silver coins seized at Chinese customs gave me a real world lesson about Bitcoin. For thousands of years, refugees and travelers had their gold and silver stolen by border agents, smugglers, and thieves.Β Seed words cannot be seized by a customs agent or get scanned by
