Devastated by the passing of my friend Ralph Serin this week. Huge loss for forensic psych and Carleton University, bigger loss personally. Will miss our long chats about research, cars, and family. So, so sad. Praying for Ralph’s family, friends, and students. Miss you Ralph. RIP

Very sad news. Dr Serin was always so kind and a wonderful researcher. I admired his approach to correctional research. His research directly led to improvements in decisions/processes relevant to corrections and parole. He will be missed. My condolences to his family and friends

Dr. Ralph Serin was my undergraduate thesis supervisor, a great mentor, and an incredible contributor to the field of correctional psychology. His criminal behaviour course sparked my interest in pursuing forensic psychology as a career. He will be deeply missed💔

You know what makes me angry? When I admit a patient with metastatic cancer who’s unlikely to survive… and if that patient had been able to access a family doctor and simple routine screening tests they would have been most likely cured months ago. Now it’s too late. This

I have officially completed my master’s degree at Carleton university and it feels surreal. I hope to continue my graduate studies in forensic psychology in the near future, but for now, I will be enjoying some free time👩🏻‍🎓

#GradStudent scholarships and #Postdoc fellowships got a raise today for the first time in 21 years🙌 Immensely grateful to all those who have been pushing for this. It truly takes a village! Still processing and will have more thoughts soon! But overall this👇 is great news!

This is so so important for future grad students to increase scholarship amounts to reflect how expensive the cost of living has become. As a SSHRC recipient in my masters, I still had to work several jobs outside of academia to make a living. We love to see it!!
