Boris Johnson’s future as prime minister is on the rocks. Whatever happens, throughout his time as PM he has talked up R&D and innovation. We recently examined what he’s achieved on this, and what remains to be done: researchprofessionalnews.com/rr-news-uk-pol…

#MyCrocus can you help? I ordered the Wisley collection ready made border and it’s arrived without the border plan. Not on your website anymore either.

Find out more about the importance of quality-related (QR) funding and maintaining the dual support balance in our blog. We talk about the 10% increase to QR research funding this year as well as how that funding has incorporated REF 2021 outcomes. orlo.uk/Taowe

I know so many people in this situation. It makes it really tough for working mums (and dads). The government needs a realistic funding solution for nurseries. Changing the ratios is not the fix.

Tom Scholar is the best civil servant of his generation. Sacking him makes no sense. His experience would have been invaluable in the coming months as government policy places massive upward pressure on the cost of funding. As Gordon Brown used to say "they're not thinking".

Oh, we will have a lot of laughs over this in the office on Monday! What a wig David. Pleased to have been an undercover officer in this episode 😂

Not so many people know that my Jewish grandfather’s family was stripped of German citizenship by the Nazi regime. Yesterday me and my daughters reclaimed the right to that citizenship. A more emotional moment than I had expected that will open doors for both girls in the future

A fantastic scheme within our portfolio at RE. Well done to all the team and panel for getting this over the line. Critical support for the expansion of excellent research units.

Interesting point made by Joanna Binstead about diversity in science and the rail industry. Only 10 women at this event. More work needed x.com/ukrrin/status/…
